Would you like to be a part of a growing and evolving organization at the club? Would you like to contribute more than just being a member? Are you looking for something to sink your teeth into? Are you looking for a challenging opportunity which gives back as much as it gets? We are the Hiawatha Nature and Historical Society. We are a group of folks who care about our club. We care so much about it that we have become the backbone of the club’s activities agenda. We sponsor monthly presentations, nature walks, children’s art activities, beach picnics, corn roasts, pig roasts, garage sales, trail refurbishing, building refurbishing, etc. The list goes on and on. And, we need more contributing members who are willing to interact with one another to continue our tradition of excellence, to continue to create worthwhile and exciting activities for all of our members. We would like to sponsor more children’s activities including fishing tournaments, golf tournaments, canoe races, and/or kayak races, etc. If you are at all interested in becoming part of this tremendous organization, please see David or Anne Pentecost, Steve or Linda Rogers, Jim or Marilyn Beck, Ann Elms, Pat Nolan, Gus Hasenrick, Linda Rutledge, or Betty Ann Glascock to name just a few. Our dues are $3.00 per person annually or $5.00 per family annually. But its more than just paying dues. It’s volunteering to assist at our events, setting up chairs, washing dishes, serving others, opening the museum, closing the museum, taking inventory, creating displays, etc. We need you to be a part of us. The club needs help in continuing the outstanding traditions that have been developed through the generations. Our grandparent’s memories, our children’s futures at the club are all at stake. By becoming part of HNHS now, we can assure that it will continue to offer outstanding opportunities for present and future members. I thank you in advance for your contribution and for considering joining HNHS David Pentecost
