Located in the wilderness of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club is rich in history, hunting, fishing, canoeing, hiking, and golfing.

"The Hiawatha Nature and Historical Society would like to welcome all members to get involved in the history of the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club!

The Hiawatha Sportsman's Club was organized in 1927 by a group of men that looked at the land not for what it was but dreamed of what it could be.

Our Fish and Game Committee actively manages harvest numbers, food plots and overall health of the deer, bear and fishing populations and their environment.

Members enjoy fishing for Salmon, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Northern Pike, Bass and Walleye in our cool, clear, undisturbed waters.

Members enjoy taking advantage of the thirty-five thousand acres of forests, spring-fed lakes, streams and winding trails. These are just a few of the many splendors and benefits at Hiawatha!

Nestled into the great northern forest of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club, a member owned refuge for those that appreciate the great out of doors. The Hiawatha Sportsman's Club was organized in 1927 by a group of men that looked at the land not for what it was but dreamed of what it could be.

Welcome to the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club!  We are situated on thirty five thousand acres of forests, spring-fed streams, lakes and winding trails. This is the great North, land of the bear, whitetails and wild brooks. This is sportsman's country!

 

 

Fishing
Whether you are fishing in Lake Millecoquins, one of our three private lakes, three spring fed stocked trout ponds or our 30 miles of isolated rivers and streams, you can be assured of a spectacular fishing experience. Members enjoy fishing for Salmon, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Northern Pike, Bass, Walleye at Hiawatha.

Hunting
The diversity of trees, lakes, streams, & canyons are astounding and it has cultivated an abundance of spectacular wildlife. Species found throughout the Hiawatha Sportman's Club include: whitetail deer, bear, grouse, coyote, wolves, and beaver. Hunting season involves many great sportsman from our club. Trophy bucks are not uncommon for our many members. Harvests will continue to be very good with the continued management of our whitetail deer herd.

Hiawatha Sportsman's Golf Course
The Hiawatha Club owns and operates its own 9 hole golf course that is open to the public.  Located off of US 2 in Naubinway Michigan, the Hiawatha Golf Course offers a private course experience.  Quietly tucked away in the northern hardwoods, our course is player friendly but with its own personality.  The course was originally built in 1932.  Although it has been reworked extensively in recent years, it retains many of the characteristics of the early course including a brutal par 3 to finish.
