The Hiawatha Nature and Historical Society

The Hiawatha Nature and Historical Society (HN&HS) invites members, their families and guests to enjoy and experience the beauty and history of the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club.  We focus on conservation and stewardship of our natural resources.

See our 2008 Activites Schedule and Evening Programs.

We have an annual bird idenitfication hike led by local experts.  The emphasis is on specie idenitification.

Our annual wildflower identification hike is a regular event.  We go to different local areas such as woods, bogs, beaches and dense foliage areas.

Children's activities, crafts and library are availible at Naomi's Childrens Museum on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

There is a Beach Picnic held in the evening at the Club Beach on Lake Michigan.  A hot grill is made ready for members and dishes are brought to pass.  Music is available.  A good time is had by all.
